A short story like this, could make so much sense.

It's hard to explain.

Well, the joke part, it ain't funny anymore coz we get it.

But how about a heartbreak or bad grades or death of someone we love?

Can we say : 'Hey, I get it already, he left me/ my history failed/ whoever died. I see, I feel, I understand, I'm off.' ?

No, no we can't.

Because those following examples, have after effects.

They don't just come and go like a joke.

We suffer, we have memories, we remember, we miss those moments.

Okay okay, sometimes we remember a certain joke, we laugh all of a sudden like an idiot. Yes.

That does happen.

But you don't laugh about one particular joke as often as you cry over an incident.

Agree?

Later off, you'll be grateful for what made you cry over and over again.

Because that's going to make who you are in the future or present.

Don't look back and say "If only.... ".

Damn I hate that phrase.

I used to read Mr. Midnight, and those people will go like, "Ohhh, if only I hadn't ....."
